‘One You’ Advert Song – 2016 Public Health England Campaign

Public Health England Advert Music – Song and band information for the ‘Search One You’ TV and YouTube ad campaign.

Song Title: You Are My World.

Artist/Band: The Communards.

Available For Download From: iTunes and Amazon.

The music you hear playing in the background of Public Health England’s ‘One You’ advert is the mostly instrumental sections from The Communards debut single ‘You Are My World’.

As we’ve already implied, the full length version of the song does in fact contain vocals from the bands singer Jimmy Somerville. The track is taken from the groups self-titled, 1986 debut album, which also contains the number 1 hit single ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’.

The Communards consisted of multi-instrumentalist Richard Coles and vocalist Jimmy Somerville. The duo formed in 1985 after Somerville had already enjoyed success with fellow pop group Bronski Beat.

Public Health England’s ‘One You’ commercial focuses on some of the bad habits many of us have, which can prove detrimental to our well-being. Be it putting off exercise for another time, spending too much time sat at a desk, or overdoing it with the snacks and alcohol, there’re many small changes we can make that’ll add up to a big difference.

Featuring a voice-over by ‘Gogglebox’ narrator Caroline Aherne, this advert was uploaded to Public Health England’s YouTube page on the 7th of March, 2016.
