Post Office Christmas Advert 2015 – #MerryChestBump

Post Office Advert Music 2015 – Actor and song details for the Christmas Sorted ‘Merry Chest Bump’ TV ad.

Song Title: Gloria In Excelsis Deo.

Composer: Antonio Vivaldi.

Available To Download From: Amazon and iTunes.

This years Post Office Christmas advert stars ‘The Inbetweeners’ and ‘Friday Night Dinner’ actor/comedian Simon Bird. After taking his parcels to the Post Office in time for Christmas delivery, Simon affords himself a little moment of festive daydreaming.

What better way to escape than by imagining a slow motion, snow-filled scene, where he gives Santa Claus one almighty chest bump. Following an extensive run-up, the pair take to the air to celebrate a job well done.

The commercial finishes with the slogan ‘Christmas Sorted’ #MerryChestBump, perhaps hoping it will becoming the greeting of choice this December. We’re also made aware that customers can send their presents right up to the 23rd of December at the Post Office.

The video was added to the Post Office’s official YouTube channel on the 26th of November, 2015.

Providing the classical music soundtrack to the ad is ‘Gloria In Excelsis Deo’. Although the hymns words date back well over a thousand years, this piece is believed to have been written by the Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi sometime during the early 18th century. I doubt there was much chest bumping going on back then.
