Panasonic LUMIX Advert Music – 2016 4K Photo Commercial

Panasonic Advert Song 2016 – Music info for the new LUMIX 4K Photo ‘Capture Unmissable Moments’ TV commercial.

Panasonic’s latest TV ad for their range of Lumix 4K Photo cameras features a piece of music which appears to be a sound-alike of AC/DC’s classic rock song ‘Back in Black’.

Given that the track used in the advert has a virtually identical drum beat and guitar riff to the Australian rock band’s 1980 hit, it’s hard to see why Panasonic didn’t simply use the original.

Now I have no idea what arrangement the Japanese tech company has with AC/DC with regards to this commercials soundtrack, but given the obvious similarities between the songs I can only assume some kind of usage rights have already been agreed. Hey, for all I know this is one massive coincidence with AC/DC happily not receiving any royalties, but I’d be very surprised.

For those of you not familiar with Back in Black, the song is the title track of AC/DC’s seventh studio album – A record which also features the singles ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’, ‘Hells Bells’ and ‘Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution’.

To judge for yourself how similar Panasonic’s advert music is to AC/DC’s masterpiece, you can download Back in Black from iTunes and Amazon.
