Artist/Vocalist: Hattie Webb.
Not to be confused with DeBarge’s 1985 funk track ‘Rhythm of the Night’, this fast-paced original was released by Italian group Corona in 1993, achieving a number 2 hit in the UK singles chart.
The slowed-down cover you hear playing in these ads is performed by the English singer Hattie Webb.
One half of the Kent-based musical duo The Webb Sisters, Hattie may have recorded this track especially for McDonald’s, as it’s currently not available to download as a full length single. We’ll let you know if this changes in the near future.
As you’d expect, the more uptempo Corona version is available from Amazon and iTunes.
These ‘Evening to Night’ and ‘Night to Morning’ adverts, which were both posted to the McDonald’s UK YouTube channel on the 23rd of March, 2016, are designed to remind us that this fast food chain now has over 600 restaurants in the country open 24 hours a day.
