The song playing in the new ad for Marc Jacobs Decadence is called ‘The Hunter Gets Captured By the Game’ and it’s performed by 1960’s American girl group, The Marvelettes.

Written by R&B and soul legend Smokey Robinson, the song was released in December of 1966 and went on to reach number 13 in the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The track was later covered in 1980 by Jamaican singer Grace Jones.

The lyrics from the song which you hear in the commercial are: ‘What’s this whole world coming to? Things just ain’t the same. Anytime the hunter gets captured by the game. Oh yeah’.

The Advert

This sensual TV ad shows Brazilian model and actress Adriana Lima laying on the floor in a black dress, appearing to have a generally pleasurable time with her Decadence fragrance.

The 34-year-old brunette is probably best known in the world of fashion for being one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels. Adriana also happens to be one of the worlds highest earning supermodels.

The above video, which was added to Marc Jacobs official YouTube channel on the 23rd of September, 2015, ends with the writing: ‘The New Fragrance For Women – Marc Jacobs – Decadence’.

Surprisingly nothing to do with Jacob’s Cream Crackers, Marc Jacobs the man is a 52-year-old American fashion designer, who up until 2014, was the creative director at Louis Vuitton.
