Marks and Spencer Christmas Advert 2017 – Full video, plus song and actor details to the M&S ‘Paddington & The Christmas Visitor – Spend It Well’ TV and YouTube ad.
Soundtrack: Original Composition.
Music Production Company/Composer: Wake the Town, Alex Baranowski.
Marks and Spencer’s 2017 Christmas TV ad sees Paddington Bear awoken on Christmas Eve by a man who the marmalade-loving Peruvian mistakes for Santa, but who in reality is a burglar.
Despite the guys attempts to explain he’s not Santa, Paddington won’t hear of it and unwittingly assists the burglar in returning the stolen presents. By the end of the film, Paddington’s innocent nature and the spirit of Christmas appears to have rubbed off on the thief, who leaves instead with a hug and a nice marmalade sandwich.
Who is the actor playing the burglar?
If you recognise the bearded man in this M&S advert but can’t think where you’ve seen him before, the actors name is Mark Benton. You may have previously watched Mark in such TV series as Waterloo Road, The Halcyon or Land Girls, or perhaps even the old Nationwide commercials.
What’s the music playing in the background?
The soundtrack to this years festive Marks and Spencer TV advert is an original piece of music composed by Alex Baranowski.
The above full length 1:35 ‘Paddington & The Christmas Visitor #LoveTheBear’ video was posted to the M&S YouTube channel on the 6th of November, 2017.
