Help To Buy ISA Advert Music – Band and song details for the government’s ‘We’re Going Home’ TV and YouTube ad.
Song Title: Coming Home.
Band/Singer: Kaiser Chiefs.
Titled ‘Coming Home’, and not ‘Going Home’ like some of the lyrics might suggest, the song is taken from the groups most recent album ‘Education, Education, Education & War’. After being released for download in early 2014, the single reached number 31 in the UK chart.
Kaiser Chiefs are a five-piece band consisting of lead vocalist Ricky Wilson, keyboard player Nick Baines, guitarist Andrew White, bass player Simon Rix and drummer Vijay Mistry. Many of you, who aren’t fans of the group, may still know frontman Ricky as one of the coaches on BBC One’s talent show The Voice UK.
The above commercial, which was uploaded to the official HM Treasury UK YouTube channel on the 1st of December, 2015, promotes the governments new Help To Buy ISA scheme that launched recently.
This unique kind of ISA allows first time property buyers to save up to £200 per month, then when they’re ready, use the money to help pay for the purchase, with the government adding an extra 25% up to a maximum of £3,000.
So basically, for every £200 you put in, they’ll add £50 at the end. If you manage to put in the maximum of £12,000 over a few years, the government will then add £3,000, but only if you use it to buy a home.
If you’re looking to take out a Help To Buy ISA, there are a few interesting offers around right now. A good example of which is Halifax’s 4% account, which is probably worth taking out even if you don’t end up using the money to buy your first home.
