H&M Commercial Songs, Christmas 2016 – ‘Come Together’ Train Advert

H&M Advert Songs, Christmas 2016 – Video, soundtrack and actor details for the fashion retailers new ‘Come Together’ holiday season YouTube and TV commercial.

Song 1: Little Drummer Boy by Harry Simeone Chorale.

Song 2: Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John & Yoko, and the Plastic Ono Band.

This year H&M’s Christmas ad campaign appears to be less of a TV commercial, and more of a mini movie, which makes sense when you see it was directed by the Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Wes Anderson.

The story sees Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody playing the part of train conductor Ralph on H&M Lines’ Winter Express.

When challenging weather conditions and mechanical difficulties causes the trains journey time to be extended, it becomes apparent passengers and staff will be forced to spend Christmas on board.

In order to make the best of a bad situation, Ralph and his assistant porter put on a special Christmas brunch at the rear of the coach, for everyone on the train to enjoy.

The song playing in the background for most of the video is ‘Little Drummer Boy’ by Harry Simeone Chorale, before switching at the end to John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s classic ‘Happy Xmas (War Is Over)’.

Lasting for nearly 4 minutes, the above festive advert was posted to the official H&M YouTube channel on the 27th of November, 2016.
