Habitat Advert – Dancing Home Alone ‘Habitat Voyeur’

Habitat Advert 2015 – September ‘We all look but only some of us see’ TV commercial.

This new TV ad for household furnishings retailer Habitat features a man home alone, dancing to music in nothing but his underpants and socks.

After temporally invading this guys privacy, the camera gradually zooms away from this deliberately voyeuristic scene and out through the window.

The video was filmed by director and photographer Miles Aldridge, who was also responsible for Habitat’s similarly styled ‘The Kiss’ advert (below) from earlier this year.

Featuring the slogan ‘We all look but only some of us see’, the video shows an apartment kitted out with a selection of Habitat products, including the ‘Orrico’ coffee table.

The commercial forms part of the companies #HabitatVoyeur campaign, which encourages its customers to upload pictures of purchased Habitat products in their own homes.

The above ‘Home Alone’ advert was added to Habitat UK’s official YouTube channel on Monday the 14th of September, 2015, while it’s due to premiere on our TV screens on Channel 4 on Wednesday the 16th. The ad will fittingly air during the latest new episode of Grand Designs.

As far as the song featured in the ad is concerned, it’s a new piece of music created especially for Habitat. Therefore we unfortunately don’t expect it to be developed into a full length song or be made available for download.
