Google Commercial Song 2016 – ‘Pixel Phone by Google’ Advert

Google Advert Song 2016 – Soundtrack and artist details for the brand new ‘Life by you, Phone by Google’ YouTube and TV commercial for the companies first smartphone, Pixel.

Song Title: Default.

Artist/Band: Django Django.

Available To Download From: iTunes, Amazon UK and Amazon.com.

Google have just launched this new ad campaign to promote the release of the first phone made entirely by them, which they are calling Pixel.

Please note that there are now a number of variations of these ‘Phone by Google’ ads being shown online and on TV, each with different soundtracks and visuals. One of the other versions uses the song ‘Closer’ by Lemaitre, which recently featured in an ad for BT TV.

This particular commercial (above) shows lots of intriguing video clips, where the images key area is obstructed by a white rectangle or oblong. Then later in the ad this theme is reversed, with those missing sections appearing on the Pixel phones screen, in front of a white background.

Already available to pre-order in Britain, America, Canada, Australia and Germany, Pixel will run on the latest Android operating system, Android 7.1 Nougat. The device is available in 5″ and 5.5″ sizes, and comes in Quite Black and Very Silver colours. US customers will also get the option of ordering the Pixel in limited edition Really Blue.

The song you hear playing in this advert is titled ‘Default’ and is performed by the English rock band Django Django. Those of you here in the UK may recognise this track from the recent Ford ‘Unlearn’ advert, though that ad only used instrumental sections.

The above 60-second ‘Life by you, Phone by Google’ video was posted to the Google YouTube channel on the 4th of October, 2016, the same day the search engine giant officially announced Pixel’s launch.
