EDF Energy Advert Music 2015 – Song and singer details for the current Blue+ Price Promise TV commercial, starring Zingy.
Song Title: Good Times.
Debuting on our screens in Autumn, 2015, this new ad from EDF Energy features the classic disco hit ‘Good Times’, performed by the American soul and funk band Chic.
Since the singles release in 1979, guitarist Nile Rodgers’ distinctive guitar rift has gone on to be sampled in many different songs and inspire countless more. The song is not to be confused though with the recent single of the same name by Fiat 500 advert singer, Ella Eyre.
A top of the charts hit in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, Good Times only managed to reach number 5 in the UK charts.
This latest TV advert from EDF Energy promotes the companies Blue+Price Promise, which offers fixed low prices and no exit fees.
The commercial again stars EDF’s happy little music-obsessed mascot Zingy. How can someone physically incapable of smiling always appear in such a good mood? He certainly loves grooving to that funky disco beat.
Given that Zingy feels the need to hang out in the freezer to keep cool though, I find it hard to believe he (or she) actually lives in Britain and is therefore even an EDF customer. However, given the seemingly non-stop dancing, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt this time.
Zingy’s new video (above) was added to EDF’s YouTube channel on the 11th of September, 2015.
