Available For Download From: iTunes or Amazon.
The promo ad for the final series of Downton Abbey features a beautiful cover version of the song ‘Time To Say Goodbye’, sung by 20-year-old London-based singer-songwriter Lauren Aquilina. If you’d like to hear the full length version of the track here, we’ve added the video from Lauren’s YouTube channel at the bottom of this page. Enjoy.
The song, which is known in Italian as ‘Con te partirò’, was originally performed by the classical tenor Andrea Bocelli, releasing it as a single in 1995.
Since then, cover versions of the track have been recorded in different languages, by many different artists, including Katherine Jenkins, Sarah Brightman and Donna Summer. A personal favourite of mine has to be the instrumental version from Journey guitarist Neal Schon, which formed part of his 2001 solo album, Voice. A number of great guitar melody tunes on there well worth a listen.
This brand-new trailer from ITV gives us a preview of the last ever season of the worldwide hit period drama, Downton Abbey. Episode 1 of this sixth series is due to premiere in the UK on Sunday the 20th of September, 2015.
When that last episode finally comes to a conclusion, the absence of the show will likely not only leave a gap in the lives of its biggest fans, but also in the ITV Autumn programme schedule. I wonder just what they’ll find to replace this huge ratings success.
Viewers in America will have to wait a while longer to find out how it all ends though, with season 6 of Downton beginning on PBS Masterpiece on Sunday January 3rd, 2016, at 9/8c.
