Channel 4 Advert Music 2016 – Band and song details for the new ‘We’re The Superhumans’ Rio Paralympics TV trailer.

Song Title: Yes I Can.

Group/Singers: The Superhuman Band.

Led by the Australian singer Tony Dee, Channel 4’s trailer for their Rio 2016 Paralympics coverage features a group of musicians they’re calling The Superhuman Band.

This ‘We’re The Superhumans’ advert shows Tony and the band performing a special cover of Sammy Davis Jr.’s song ‘Yes I Can’.

According to Channel 4’s official campaign website, the group consist of sixteen talented musicians from around the world, each cast after extensive online research.

The Superhuman Band’s performance of ‘Yes I Can’ is designed to encapsulate the superhuman spirit.

Channel 4’s track is due to be released for download on the 16th of July, 2016, with all profits from the single going to the British Paralympic Association.

Uploaded to Channel 4’s YouTube page on the 14th of July, the 3 minute video stars a wide range of Paralympics GB competitors, including wheelchair racers Hannah Cockcroft and David Weir, swimmer Ellie Simmonds, athlete Richard Whitehead and the women’s wheelchair basketball team.
