BBC One have just released the official trailer to their up-coming drama Broken, which stars actor Sean Bean as Catholic priest Father Michael Kerrigan, who presides over a Northern urban parish.

Written and executive produced by Jimmy McGovern, Broken’s cast list also includes Anna Friel as Christina Fitzsimmons, Paula Malcolmson as Roz Demichelis, Adrian Dunbar as Father Peter Flaherty and Mark Stanley as P.C Andrew Powell.

The premiere date and time for Broken has now been set for Tuesday the 23rd of May, 2017 at 9:00pm on BBC One, with the series to be broadcast over six 1-hour episodes.

The song playing in the background of this trailer is called ‘Arsonist’s Lullabye’ and was released for download in 2014 by the Irish musician and singer Hozier.
